We met in our second semester of our sophomore year at Clarion University in January of 2021. Instead of a normal first date, we spent around 9 hours talking in Ben’s apartment and both quickly realized there was strong connection between us. We became inseparable and eventually moved in together in the fall of 2022. We then graduated together in December of 2023.
After graduating, we moved to Wilkinsburg for 6 months before moving all the way to Atlanta, Georgia for Ben’s job. While we were there, we got engaged at the top of Stone Mountain in February with a beautiful sunset as our backdrop.
When we were finally able to move back north again last June, deciding to return to Pittsburgh was an easy choice. We moved into an apartment on the North Side and adopted our dog, Merle.
Since our apartment was less than a 10 minute walk away from the National Aviary, we visited often and always enjoyed each other’s enjoyment of the birds. We hope you come to appreciate it just as much as we do.
Wanting a backyard for Merle and a little more space, we bought our first home in the South Side Flats last March. And now we’re getting married!
